덴트리온은 인천 부평에 위치한 600㎡ 규모의 치과 기공소이다. 기존의 치과 기공소는 실용성과 기능적 효율을 중심으로 구성되어, 외부에 보여지는 작업 환경보다는 내부 작업의 효율성에 초점을 맞추는 경우가 많았다. 덴트리온은 이러한 획일화된 제조 공간의 이미지를 벗어나, 차별화된 공간을 통해 브랜드 이미지를 확장하고 소비자에게 새로운 인식을 전달하고자 한다.

Dentrion is a 600㎡ dental lab located in Bupyeong, Incheon. While most dental labs have focused on functional efficiency rather than how the workspace looks from the outside, Dentrion aimed to break away from the typical image of a manufacturing space. It wanted to offer a more unique space that expands its brand identity and gives consumers a fresh impression.
기존의 작업 공간은 각 공정이 기능에 따라 면적으로만 구획되어 동선이 분산되고, 관계 형성이 어렵다는 한계가 있었다. 이에 덴트리온은 공간의 중심에 하나의 큰 축을 설정하고, 이를 기준으로 전체 공정을 재배치한다. 이러한 흐름은 업무 효율을 높이는 동시에, 외부 방문자에게는 전문성과 신뢰감을 시각적으로 전달한다. 또한 공정 간의 순차적 연결을 시각적으로 드러냄으로써, 단순한 결과물이 아닌 과정의 가치가 인식되는 공간 경험을 제공한다.
Previously, each step of the process was divided only by size and function, leading to scattered movement and weak connections. To solve this, Dentrion placed a large central axis in the middle of the space and reorganized the workflow around it. This improved work efficiency and visually communicated a sense of professionalism and trust to visitors. It also allowed people to clearly experience the process itself—not just the end result.
공간의 시각화는 ‘반복과 강조’, ‘투시성’ 이라는 디자인 언어를 기반으로 이루어진다. 반복되는 구조 요소는 공간의 방향성을 부여하고, 조형과 마감재를 통해 흐름을 강조한다. 기능적으로 분리되어야 하는 공간에는 투명한 소재를 활용해 경계를 흐리게 만들고, 공간 요소 간의 관계를 유연하게 연결한다. 또한, 의도적으로 구성된 틈은 시야 너머의 풍경을 중첩시켜 다층적인 공간감을 형성한다.
The design uses the visual principles of repetition, emphasis, and transparency. Repeated structural elements guide movement through the space, while shapes and materials highlight the intended flow. Transparent materials blur the boundaries between zones that need to be separated, helping to create soft connections. Gaps placed intentionally layer views and add depth to the space.
전체 마감은 화이트 톤을 기반으로 청결하고 밝은 인상을 주며, 콘크리트의 물성을 살린 구조체와 따뜻한 우드, 반투명 폴리카보네이트, 그리고 포인트로 사용된 컬러감 있는 대리석과 테라코타 타일을 조화롭게 적용하여 공간에 리듬감을 부여한다. 이러한 마감 구성은 전형적인 기공소의 차갑고 폐쇄적인 분위기에서 벗어나, 보다 유연하고 창의적인 작업 환경을 구현하고자 하는 의도를 담고 있다.
The overall finish uses white as a base to give a clean and bright impression.
Natural concrete texture, warm wood, translucent polycarbonate, and accents of colorful marble and terracotta tiles are used together to create rhythm in the space. This combination helps move away from the cold, closed feeling of a typical dental lab and instead creates a flexible and creative working environment.
