커피 브랜드 DEGREE 는 베이킹, 커피 로스팅, 핸드드립 커피 등 다양한 분야를 한 공간 안에 융합한 새로운 공간을 계획했다. 이 장소는 경기도 안산시 중심부에 위치해 있으며, 주변 건물 대부분이 수많은 간판으로 뒤덮여 있어 매우 혼잡한 느낌을 준다. 이러한 간판들은 길 건너편에서 바라보았을 때 장소의 정체성을 알 수 없게 만드는 모자이크처럼 보인다.
스토프는 건물 외관의 형태를 기하학적 형태로 받아들이는 동시에, 불필요한 마감재와 색채를 덜어내어 구조와 형태에 집중하는 미니멀한 외관을 설계했고, 이를 통해 주변 환경과의 부조화를 줄였다.
Coffee brand DEGREE has envisioned a new space that brings together baking, coffee roasting, and hand-drip coffee in one environment. Located in the heart of Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, the site is surrounded by buildings heavily covered with signboards, creating a sense of visual congestion. From across the street, these signboards form a mosaic that obscures the identity of the place.
stof. responded by embracing the geometric form of the building’s exterior while stripping away unnecessary finishes and colors, creating a minimalist façade that emphasizes structure and form. This approach reduced visual disharmony with the surrounding environment.
